Experience:  Retired with over thirty eight years experience in law enforcement

Teaching Experience:  Taught at the Junior College level, taught numerous classes to local law enforcement officers, Training officer at SIU Police Department, developed training classes for the Silverthorne Colorado Police Department, National Safety Council Instructor for advanced defensive driving.

Training:  Basic Law Enforcement certification course Illinois Police Training Institute, Colorado POST certification course, Numerous seminars and training classes in law enforcement subject maters, FBI National Academy, Arson Investigator Certification course Alabama Fire College,

Education:  Associate Degree at Southern Illinois University in Corrections and Law Enforcement, Bachelors Degree at Southern Illinois University in Administration of Justice, Masters Degree in Social Justice Professions at Sangamon State University (now University of Illinois at Springfield)

Special Achievements:  Put together and trained the first SWAT Team in Southern Illinois , Researched incidents of Police Officers injured and killed with their own firearms in Colorado and Spear headed the enactment of the Disarming of a Police Officer law in Colorado.
